UK finance minister Alistair Darling’s ability to confuse the only recognisably accessible economics reporter on the BBC [Radio 4’s new ‘presenter’ this morning - Wednesday 9 April 2008] about what Darling was saying and what he was in fact meaning, must not be treated as a minor matter.
If Darling has created the impression on Evan Davis that as chancellor he, Darling, is not getting better but is going down just as the economy is doing then there is real crisis.
Not that we had ever been of the opinion or of the view that there was not.
For the duration of the campaign os far, against the Darling piece of crassness, that is the Crossrail hole scam, which Alistair DIRE-ling backed and peddled and promoted whilst he was at the UK Department fro Transport, we have pointed out the fact that the UK public sector was in poor state. That it was in much poorer shape than it was being portrayed as by the Blairing regime. And we said that the reason was the corrupt polices of the Blairing UK Government regime.
We said that the management of the Uk economy was being done badly.
And we cited the misuse of the transport situation as a critical, central illustration of what we said.
We said that the transport problems in London [as a region as well as a demographically big urban as a city] were of such a different complexity and character that no slogan-linked measure should be brought in to deal with it... We advised the then Finance Minister Gordon Brown and the then ‘Transport’ minister Alistair darling against abusing their positions over allocating public funds to suit the agenda of Big business... They ignored our advice. And They promoted the pack of crassness called Crossrail.
In the course of the 3 years and 2 months since the formal ‘Crossrail Bill’ was tabled in the House of Commons [February 2005] by Alistair Darling, we have advised them on each fundamentally flawed aspect of that scam and have been telling them to drop, to scrap the crassly conceived Crossrail Bill.
They have not been listening to us.
The fact that Brown and darling have shown weaknesses and have capitulated to Big Business and have made an immoral, uneconomic, unsustainable deal with the Big Business tout in London, Ken Livingstone, does not invalidate the the authenticity, the veracity, the accuracy and the relevance of what we have been saying all along.
That Crossrail is NOT the answer to the transport needs of London.
We advised them for free. We made available the core findings, the results of our own researches, our own investigations and our own studies into the matter.
At the same time that we were making the advice available in public and in plain terms, the place men and place women in control of the agenda at the DfT [UK central Government, Department for Transport] were getting into all manner of deals and arrangements to facilitate scams and plots with mala fide elements and fraudulent interests bent on pushing for the CRossrail scam so they could get their greedy, dirt hands on £Billions of UK public funding under covers of propaganda and spinning lies like ‘large scale infrastructure projects’.... ‘Europe’s biggest infrastructure project’ ‘ the world's biggest..’ con and so on.
